Last Nights Sunset

Recently I was privileged to join a virtual chorus led by Mary Chapin Carpenter to sing the Ian Tyson classic “Four Strong Winds” to close out the Virtual Edmonton Folk Festival. Here is the YouTube video of the cast. I can be seen in the first verse to the right of Mary Chapin Carpenter which is as “cool” as it gets. Enjoy.
Please don’t be disturbed or upset by the title. It is really a bit uplifting and deserves a Look See from this free PDF Download.

It’s been a while since my last posting I know. But I have been busy with a number of things, most notable tending to the Estate of a late relative. For now, I have assembled a new video for Youtube that I would like to share.
It’s based on the rendition of “Silent Night” by Simon & Garfunkel in 1967, “7 O’Clock News/Silent Night” using news tweets from m,y Twitter Feed. I call it:
Fans of the FX series “The Americans”, (of which I am one), might be interested to know that the scene in last nights episode which was supposed to be in Yugoslavia, (where Philips son Micha runs into some problems) was actually shot in Staten island at Snug Harbor Cultural center, where there are some archways in between the Greek Revival buildings. I photographed there today using my Holga, to get a real vintage Third World effect. Incidentally, a great deal of this season was shot on Staten island in this neighborhood around Snug Harbor. Photos below:
I am a participant in a show opening this Saturday at St. John’s University (Staten Island Campus).
